About the Program
Why this program exists, how it is governed, and who leads it.
MenGenics Research Program exists to advance the understanding of male health across the lifespan through methodologically rigorous research, scientific education, data, collaboration, and evidence-based prevention — and to translate that evidence into healthcare delivery models that can scale beyond a single clinic or city.
The Program studies men's health as an interconnected biological system rather than as isolated conditions. Areas of interest span prevention, metabolic health, hormonal health, sexual and reproductive health, cardiovascular health, body composition, cognitive performance, healthy aging, longevity, lifestyle, and emerging health technologies.
A future in which every man has access to better science, better information, and better tools to understand and protect his health throughout life.
I trained as a urologist and andrologist because men's health kept showing me the same pattern: conditions caught late, prevention treated as optional, and a research base that lags far behind what exists for other areas of medicine. Founding MenGenics grew out of that pattern — first as a clinical platform, and now, through this Program, as a deliberate effort to build a real research capability alongside it. The Program is part of MenGenics, and I say so plainly: what I can promise is not institutional independence, but that the questions, the methods, and the published conclusions are not written by the commercial side.
This Program is organized around three commitments: producing research whose questions and conclusions are not shaped by commercial interest, even though the Program is funded by my company; developing preventive strategies that catch risk earlier instead of only treating disease after it appears; and designing scalable healthcare delivery models that can reach more men — including underserved and Hispanic communities — rather than staying confined to a single clinic.
We are early. There is no advisory board to announce yet, no published study to point to. What follows on this site reflects exactly where the Program stands today, and where it is headed next.
— Paulo Navarrete, Founder & Scientific Director
Leadership
Corporate and founding leadership is disclosed, and regulatory oversight of any human-subject research is held by a separately licensed Principal Investigator once appointed — not by the founder.
Physician and urologist-andrologist — medical degree and medical license issued in Venezuela (Universidad de Carabobo, license No. 73.551). Founder and CEO of MenGenics, a men's health platform. Leads the scientific design, research questions, and strategic direction of the Program.
Paulo Navarrete does not hold a U.S. medical license, does not practice clinical medicine in the United States, and does not act as a licensed clinical investigator on U.S.-based studies. Clinical and regulatory research oversight is held by a separately licensed Principal Investigator (see below).
A U.S.-licensed physician will be appointed as regulatory Principal Investigator, responsible to the Institutional Review Board and applicable FDA requirements for any human-subject research conducted under the Program.
Responsible for day-to-day study operations once the Program's first protocols are approved.
Institutional Governance
MenGenics Research Program is a division of MenGenics, and operates under a defined scientific-commercial firewall: research questions, design, and conclusions are set independently of MenGenics' commercial interests, conflicts of interest are disclosed on every publication, and results are published regardless of whether they favor MenGenics' own products or services.
Full detail on our research standards, human-subjects protections, and institutional separation from clinical and commercial entities is available on our Scientific Integrity & Research Standards page.
