Privacy Notice

What this site collects, what it does not, and how to reach us about it.

Interim notice. This is an interim version, published so that visitors know exactly what this site does with their information. A full policy is in legal review and will replace this page.

Who operates this site

This site is operated by MenGenics Research Program, the research and education division of MenGenics, 5040 NW 7th St, Suite 300, Miami, FL 33126. Questions about this notice: info@mengenicsresearch.org.

What we collect

What you send us. If you submit the research collaboration form, we receive your name, institution, email address, area of interest, and your message. If you email or call us, we receive whatever you choose to include. Form submissions are stored by our hosting provider, Netlify, and emailed to us.

Standard server records. Our hosting provider logs technical data for every request — IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, date and time — to operate and secure the site.

What we do not do

This site sets no cookies. It uses no analytics platform, no advertising pixels, and no cross-site tracking. Typography and every other asset are served from this site itself, so loading a page sends no request to any third-party server. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use inquiry information for advertising. There are no user accounts.

Health information and HIPAA

This site does not collect health information and is not a channel for medical care. Please do not send medical records, test results, or other health details through this site or by email to us.

The Program is not a HIPAA covered entity and does not publish a Notice of Privacy Practices, because it does not provide treatment, does not bill for health care, and holds no protected health information. Clinical care within the MenGenics ecosystem is delivered by separately licensed entities, which handle their own HIPAA obligations and issue their own notices.

If the Program later conducts research involving identifiable health information, that use will require Institutional Review Board review and either individual HIPAA authorization or a documented waiver, and identifiable information will only be handled in systems governed by a Business Associate Agreement, encryption, and access controls.

How we use and share information

We use what you send us only to respond to and evaluate your inquiry and to keep a record of professional correspondence. We share it only with the service providers that operate the site and our email — Netlify (hosting and form storage) and Microsoft 365 (email) — and where required by law.

Retention

Collaboration inquiries and related correspondence are kept for as long as the professional relationship requires, and are deleted on request.

Your choices

Write to info@mengenicsresearch.org to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, or to stop being contacted. We will not treat you differently for asking.

Research data

The Program does not currently conduct human-subject research and does not use member or patient data for research. If that changes, participation will be governed by study-specific informed consent and, where applicable, HIPAA authorization and Institutional Review Board oversight. This notice does not replace those documents.

Children

This site is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Visitors outside the United States

The site is operated from the United States, and information you send is processed there.

Changes

When this interim notice is replaced by the full policy, the date above will change.
